What is a Dry Vodka Martini?
The popularity of the Martini never seems to wane and was particularly de rigueur during the 1950s and 1960s when the “three-martini lunch” was a widespread practice for cosmopolitan executives and businessmen and these days the Martini is more commonly consumed in night hours.
There is nothing simpler than 2 ingredients vodka and dry vermouth, which makes it a very easy cocktail to prepare!

What is the Best Vodka for a Dry Martini?
A vodka martini is a perfect way to show off premium vodka. I recommend using the best vodka you have, just for this recipe!
These are my recommendations: Grey Goose, Ketel One, Belvedere, Tito´s
Notes:
- I recommend serving your Vodka Martini in a chilled martini glass. To chill your glass, simply place it in the freezer for at least 15 minutes
- Keep your bottle of vodka in the freezer, this will make your cocktail more enjoyable
- Using a mixing glass will decrease water dissolution in your cocktail
How strong is the Martini?
The martini is by no means a light drink. That’s why it is served short and rarely poured over 3 or 4 ounces. With the standard 80-proof vodka.
If you don’t like the aromatic and botanical notes of gin, this vodka martini will be your favorite as it is a cleaner martini without those aromatic notes of gin.
Substitution of Garnishes:
- blue cheese-stuffed olives
- Serrano ham stuffed olives
and if you prefer not to have olives you can put a lemon twist
