Although the blood orange martini is a variation of the classic martini that is Gin and Vermouth or Dry Martini with the advent of mixology we can explore a little more with different distillates, liquors, fruits, herbs, etc. To create different variations of martini base recipes, from coffee martinis like the espresso martini or a classic cosmopolitan, the blood orange martini can have a variation without losing its style.
Citrus Vodka – Use a citrus-flavored vodka to create a more complex cocktail.
Gin – For lovers of Gin which is a refreshing, aromatic distillate that is made from seeds, citrus flowers, as well as juniper, this recipe goes very well with gin as well.
Orange Bitters – You can add a few drops of bitters which will enhance its citrus flavor!
Rosé Wine – If you want to give it a more acidic and complex touch, finish the cocktail with a splash of rosé wine, ideal to drink it on a day at the pool or simply read your favorite book.
Notes:
Chill Glasses – Keep your martini glasses in the freezer for 10 minutes before preparing your martini, you will enjoy your cocktail colder for longer!
