Lychee Boba Tea is a refreshing and delicious Asian-inspired drink that combines the aromatic flavor of lychee fruit with chewy boba pearls.
What is a Lychee Boba Tea?
Lychee boba tea is a delicious and refreshing drink originating from Taiwan. It combines the aromatic, sweet flavor of lychee with chewy tapioca pearls, creating a unique and enjoyable drinking experience. The fruit, known for its tropical and lychee flavor, adds a fragrant and exotic note to the tea. Tapioca pearls, also known as boba, offer a delicious textural contrast with their chewy, gelatinous consistency.
Ingredients For a Lychee Boba Tea
Gather your ingredients from your fridge, grab your boba straws, and enjoy the lychee boba recipe!
- Lychee Fruit– It can be used as fresh lychees or easier canned lychees; you can find it at any grocery store. I like the second option better since I can use the juice it comes with.
- Tea- You also have 2 recommended options for tea base, the popular black tea or green tea can be used for this incredible recipe!
- Coconut Milk – This will provide creaminess; you can also use the whole milk of your choice or almond milk for those lactose intolerants!
- Honey- This sweetener is optional since if you choose to use canned lychee the juice is already sweet, also white sugar is perfect too.
- Boba Pearls- We will use cooked tapioca pearls as it is also called, these look great at the bottom of the cup!

Lychee Lemonade Tea: For a spicy and refreshing option, blend lychee juice or puree with lemonade and a black or green tea base. The citrusy hint of lemon pairs wonderfully with the sweet fruit of lychee and creates a spicy touch to the traditional lychee bubble tea recipe.
Lychee Coconut Tea: Give your lychee boba tea a tropical touch by combining lychee, coconut milk, or coconut water and tea. This variation offers a creamy and exotic flavor that will transport you to a tropical paradise and fruity bubble tea.
