Nothing like this recipe for Smoked Whiskey where there is a bit of a show for our eyes, but also a woody and smoky smell and taste in the result of the cocktail.
What is Smoked Whiskey?
This classic recipe is straightforward to prepare, we only need your favorite Whiskey, a stick of fresh Rosemary, Orange Peel, and optional Maraschino Cherries, and the primary guest for this recipe is Wood Chips to smoke our cocktail.
If we don’t have wood chips, you can burn a stick of rosemary, cinnamon, sage, vanilla, or depending on the flavor you want to give the whiskey.
The finish in the mouth of this cocktail gives us that smoky touch that together with the Whiskey makes us enjoy this smoky recipe ideal for whiskey drinkers.
Ingredients For Smoked Whiskey
This Smoked Whiskey recipe is very simple and easy to prepare, just grab the following ingredients:
- Whiskey- Choose your favorite distillate, it can be Whiskey, Bourbon, Scotch, or single malt whiskey.

How to Smoke Whiskey without Specialized Equipment?
If you don’t have a smoke kit for cocktails, there is no problem to make this recipe, you can use a piece of wood or any non-flammable base as a mosaic piece, put some sticks of rosemary, cinnamon, or wood chips and light them with a torch gun and you will catch the smoke generated by covering it with an old-fashioned glass upside down and leaving it for a few minutes until you smoke the glass, then you will proceed to follow the instructions mentioned above.
May I suggest that if you are a cocktail lover, consider having a smoke kit or smoker gun, it would be a great gift! Many of the fancy bars have them for visual satisfaction and as a show for their guests.
The one that I use is called Auxbales Cocktail Smoker, I bought it on Amazon and its price quality is excellent! I really liked how easy it is to clean and use, it comes with 4 different flavors of wood chips, you just have to buy butane for the gun and it’s ready to smoke your creations!
